We played a vocabulary bingo game. Students wrote Chinese characters faster than before and they paid more attention to me.
Students now have the ability to use their memorized vocab into sentences that are meaningful (used in their own way). Since they now have this skills, they're just not simply copying sentences down. When others ask questions using different structures, they would still have able to comprehend it. For example, how are you and how are you doing means the same thing but they're worded a bit differently. In this case, students now are gaining the ability to be able to comprehend both these sentences even though they only learned one form. Usually first level students would not be able to do this, but our students are showing signs of doing so, which I'm super happy about.

We played the "SlapJack" card games today as well. And one of our students created his own version of the game (as video shows below). His version is about guessing others' cards. And since a student created the game, the students were even more enthusiastic about playing, which helps a lot with their learning process.
